Dungeons
14 dungeons, one every five levels from 1 to 65. Each is ten tiers deep: tier 5 is a named mini-boss and tier 10 a final boss built to stop you. Clear a final boss and reach level 50, and that island's Mirror Depths opens - an endless ladder of four-floor dives fought on a single HP bar, with a blessing chosen half-way through.
A dungeon's difficulty comes from one number, its effective level, which rises with the tier. Because the tier step is a large fraction of the gap between dungeons, the mid tiers of one dungeon are harder than the opening tiers of the next - which is why you always have several worth running.

The endgame ladder, locked until level 50. Four floors per dive on one health bar, so damage carries; a blessing is offered after the second floor, one from each of sustain, offense and defense. The offer is the same for every player at the same depth, so retrying cannot reroll into a better one.
